My passion and strength center on my ability to support shifts in thinking that allow for transforming conflict, improved relationships and collaborative problem solving.
As a Leadership Coach and Change Catalyst, I help leaders overcome limiting behaviors and discover the blind spots within their communication and leadership style so they can harvest the talents in their team and deepen their own influence and impact.
With over 18 years in Organization Development, I have worked as a executive coach, facilitator, mediator, strategist and change agent. My work is the intersection of organizational life and human development. Whether in a senior leadership position for a large healthcare system, or as Executive Director of a nonprofit, my focus has always been to bring the right people to the table to have the right conversations to improve collaboration, communication and outcomes.
As Director of Training and Education for St. Joseph Health System – Sonoma County, we created the “Manager’s Toolkit,” recognized by the corporate office as a “best practice for creating and developing future leaders.” The program was expanded throughout the organization, further customized for the SJHS culture and is still taught 12 years later. All supervisors, managers and leaders were trained in communication and leadership skills. We were proud to see St. Joseph Health System receive the Gallup Great Workplace Award for two consecutive years. Under my leadership, SJHS also received international recognition for integrating spiritual values into organizational programs and practices, receiving the International Spirit at Work Award.
In my consulting practice, River Logic Partners, I work with small and large organizations, nonprofits and Fortune 500 companies. My work centers on Leadership Development, Emotional Intelligence, and Conflict Resolution. I encourage people to engage in conversations that matter and help build the skills of dialogue and generative listening to support innovation and collaboration.
In addition to my own consulting practice, I am a Senior Consultant with Interaction Associates, a leadership development firm that helps to build collaborative work cultures.
Outside the workplace, I work with individuals, couples and groups who are tired of misunderstandings and conflict and want to repair or improve their relationships with friends, family and colleagues while there is still time.
I hold a BA in Psychology from the University of Colorado, an MA in Health Education from JFK University and a Certificate in Conflict Resolution from Sonoma State University. I participate annually in a Diversity Think Tank, where professionals from around the country meet to discuss strategies to improve cultural literacy and relationships within our organizations and communities. I have been a Mediator in Northern California for the past four years.
My Mindfulness Meditation practice developed over the past 18 years is the foundation for both my personal and professional life. I am also passionate about Salsa dancing and African drumming.
